Peningkatan Pengetahuan tentang Bahaya Merokok melalui Edukasi Interaktif pada Anak Asuh Panti Asuhan Mitra Arofah Surabaya

Merokok pada usia anak dan remaja merupakan masalah kesehatan yang perlu dicegah melalui pemberian informasi yang sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan anak asuh mengenai dampak negatif merokok. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Panti Asuhan Mitra Arofah Surabaya pada 30 Agustus 2026 dan diikuti 30 peserta jenjang sekolah dasar hingga sekolah menengah atas. Kegiatan edukasi dilakukan secara interaktif menggunakan presentasi, media visual, diskusi, dan tanya jawab tentang kandungan rokok, dampak rokok konvensional dan elektronik, bahaya paparan asap rokok, serta upaya pencegahan. Pengetahuan diukur menggunakan 10 soal pilihan ganda yang sama sebelum dan sesudah edukasi; setiap jawaban benar bernilai 10 poin. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Rerata skor meningkat dari 60,67 ± 4,50 menjadi 85,00 ± 5,09, dengan kenaikan rerata 24,33 poin. Sebanyak 30 peserta (100%) memperoleh skor posttest lebih tinggi daripada pretest, dan uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna antara skor sebelum dan sesudah edukasi (p<0,001). Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan segera setelah edukasi; namun, tanpa kelompok pembanding dan pengukuran tindak lanjut, hasil ini belum menggambarkan daya tahan pengetahuan dalam jangka panjang.
