Pelatihan dan Pendampingan Pembuatan Bibit F-0 Jamur Surai Singa (Hericium erinaceus) bagi Petani Jamur di Kota Medan

Jamur Surai Singa (Hericium erinaceus), dikenal secara internasional sebagai Lion’s Mane, merupakan salah satu jamur pangan dan fungsional yang semakin banyak dikembangkan, khususnya di kawasan Asia Timur. Jamur ini memiliki nilai gizi yang tinggi, ditandai dengan kandungan protein sekitar 20%, karbohidrat 61%, lemak 5%, air 4%, serta berbagai asam amino. Selain itu, Jamur Surai Singa mengandung senyawa bioaktif penting, seperti erinacines yang termasuk golongan terpenoid dan berperan dalam stimulasi nerve growth factor (NGF), serta β-glukan yang berfungsi sebagai imunomodulator. Kandungan tersebut menjadikan jamur ini memiliki potensi ekonomi dan kesehatan yang tinggi. Salah satu mitra budidaya, Agro Jamur yang berlokasi di Kota Medan, Sumatera Utara, telah berhasil membudidayakan Jamur Surai Singa. Namun, proses produksi bibit F-0 masih sering mengalami kegagalan akibat tingginya risiko kontaminasi pada tahap isolasi, inokulasi, dan inkubasi. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan tersebut. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui pelatihan kerja aseptik dan teknik dekontaminasi bibit F-0 di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi FMIPA Universitas Sumatera Utara. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, edukasi interaktif, praktik langsung, serta sesi tanya jawab. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan teknis, minat kewirausahaan, serta motivasi petani dalam mengembangkan usaha berbasis Jamur Surai Singa secara berkelanjutan.
