Edukasi Kesehatan Paru untuk Pencegahan Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronis Akibat Paparan Asap Rokok dan Biomassa pada Santri Pondok Pesantren Sunan Drajat, Kabupaten Lamongan, Jawa Timur

Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronis merupakan penyakit respirasi kronis yang berkaitan dengan paparan partikel dan gas berbahaya, termasuk asap rokok dan asap biomassa. Lingkungan pesantren dengan pola hunian komunal menjadi setting strategis untuk edukasi promotif dan preventif kesehatan paru. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan santri mengenai bahaya paparan asap rokok dan biomassa serta upaya pencegahan Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronis. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 20 Juni 2026 di Pondok Pesantren Sunan Drajat, Kabupaten Lamongan, Jawa Timur, dan diikuti oleh 50 santri. Intervensi meliputi edukasi interaktif, diskusi, pemutaran media audiovisual, penggunaan media visual, demonstrasi, dan Focus Group Discussion. Pengetahuan dievaluasi menggunakan desain one-group pretest-posttest. Rerata skor pengetahuan meningkat dari 90,80 pada pretest menjadi 96,00 pada posttest, dengan selisih 5,20 poin atau 5,73% dari nilai awal. Uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan p = 0,022. Hasil ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan skor pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah edukasi. Karena skor awal sudah relatif tinggi, peningkatan tersebut perlu ditafsirkan secara proporsional dan mempertimbangkan kemungkinan ceiling effect. Kegiatan pembekalan kader santri sehat diposisikan sebagai rencana keberlanjutan, sedangkan capaian kader belum dievaluasi sebagai luaran kuantitatif. Edukasi kesehatan paru dapat menjadi strategi awal untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan santri mengenai faktor risiko penyakit paru, tetapi evaluasi lanjutan diperlukan untuk menilai retensi pengetahuan, perubahan perilaku, dan pengurangan paparan asap.
